We build our school on thee, O Lord
We build our school on thee, O Lord,
to thee we bring our common need;
the loving heart, the helpful word,
the tender thought, the kindly deed;
with these we pray
thy Spirit may
enrich and bless our school alway.
We work together in thy sight,
we live together in thy love;
guide thou our faltering steps aright,
and lift our thoughts to heaven above:
dear Lord, we pray
thy Spirit may
be present in our school alway.
Hold thou each hand to keep it just,
touch thou our lips and make them pure;
if thou art with us, Lord, we must
be faithful friends and comrades sure:
dear Lord, we pray
thy Spirit may
be present in our school alway.
We change, but thou art still the same,
the same good Master, Teacher, Friend:
we change, but Lord, we bear thy name,
to journey with it to the end:
and so we pray
thy Spirit may
be present in our school alway.

Lots of individuals came together over several months and dedicated their time and of themselves to bring this project (as well as our remote learning intranet) to fruition. We especially wanted, even in a small way, recognize a few individuals for their hard work and say thank you.

A BIT OF HISTORY
As we were then...
Moulton Hall Methodist School formerly known as Moulton Hall Weslyan School was established in 1886. The site on which the school now stands was once the home of Methodist missionaries who came to Trinidad and Tobago in the early nineteenth century. The school is the first of eleven to be established by the Methodist Church in Trinidad and Tobago, after the dual system of education was developed in 1870. Moulton Hall’s inception was greatly influenced by the pioneering work of a distinguished Methodist leader – Dr. Moulton. The construction of a Hall in 1897 to replace the old mission house enabled the school to be firmly entrenched in the Port of Spain community. It was also at this point that the name was changed to Moulton Hall Methodist School. The hall uniquely served the two-fold purpose of school and church related activities.
As we are now...
In 1998, construction of a new high-rise structure was started through the support of the then Minister of Education, The Honourable Dr. Adesh Nanan. The new school was formally opened by the Honourable Minister of Education, Mrs. Hazel Manning on the 29th November, 2002. Moulton Hall is also noted as being one of the earliest denominational primary schools in Port of Spain to institutionalize the co-educational concept, where both boys and girls freely interact in pursuit of their educational goals.
